more ERP

Having to add 5 more gantries to ERP will not help to ease congestion to these areas or as what they claim "to encourage people to use public transport"

I bet the different.

Back in 2006/07, during the morning peak hours I am waiting at the bus stop from my home, wanting to go to Toa Payoh and guessed what? I waited from 8.30am to 9.10am but still unable to board any of the bus. It is fully packed. I gave up and went home, waited for another 15mins, made my way back to the bus stop and 5 mins later, a bus came...this time, finally I can board the bus.

Blessing of disguise, luckily I'm a SAHM who can afford the time to wait until the next available bus. Since then, I try not to take any bus ride during these peak hours. Imagine those working personals whom need to reach they office/work area at designated time? Who will come to their aid?

The situation of taking public transport during peak hours is already so bad then so how is the increase of more ERP gantries going to help? I think our local bus companies should look into to provide more buses during peak hours, not forgetting the MRT rides too, especially at time like this.

No point complainting about the increase of ERP, our people should ask our government to get our local public transport companies to increase the frequencies of buses and MRT rides if they sincerely want to encourage people to use public transport.
